There's something about the ocean that draws me in. The changing light, the salty air and that beautiful sense of not quite knowing what's beyond the horizon.

Mist Behaving is my playful take on those moments where everything feels a little hazy and wonderfully unpredictable. Rather than capturing a particular place, I wanted to capture that feeling of being somewhere between reality and imagination.

Through layers of colour, texture and instinctive mark-making, the painting found its own way, reminding me that sometimes the best things happen when you let go of knowing exactly where you're headed.
