The fish has become a recurring character in my work over the years, turning up in the most unlikely places and quietly making itself at home. I never set out to make it a signature, but somehow it keeps finding its way back into the story.

This painting was created instinctively, using my hands as much as my brushes and allowing the process to unfold naturally. I love working this way... it leaves room for surprise, play and the unexpected.

Sometimes the best stories don't need explaining... they just need a squeeze of lemon.
